Your bathroom doesn’t need to be gutted. It needs to look like yours.
The plumbing works. The layout is fine. What it looks like — that’s the problem.
A cosmetic bathroom refresh changes what you see and touch every day without the cost and disruption of a full renovation. New vanity. New tile. New fixtures and lighting. Sometimes a new mirror and accessories.
The result looks like a different bathroom. Because it is.

A cosmetic refresh is right when:
– The layout works — you’re not fighting the bathroom, you’re tired of looking at it
– The plumbing and electrical are sound — no hidden water damage, no wiring that needs updating
– The vanity is dated or falling apart but the floor plan is fine
– The tile is wrong — the color, the style, the grout that can no longer be cleaned — but the structure behind it is solid
– You’re preparing the house for sale and want buyer-ready without a full gut
– You moved in knowing the bathroom needed updating and now it’s time
If the plumbing has problems or there’s water damage in the walls, a cosmetic refresh won’t fix that. We’ll tell you honestly if a full renovation is what you actually need.
What a cosmetic refresh can include
**Vanity Replacement**
The vanity is the first thing you see. A new vanity — the right size, the right finish, with a solid countertop and an undermount sink — changes the entire look of a bathroom. We remove the old one, handle the plumbing connections, and install the new one correctly.
**Tile Replacement**
Floor tile and wall tile, updated. Tile that’s cracked, stained, or just dated comes out. New tile goes in flat, properly grouted, and sealed. We plan the layout before the first tile is set so the lines come out straight.
**Fixture Updates**
Faucets, toilet, shower head, towel bars, toilet paper holder. New fixtures tied to old tile look wrong. New fixtures alongside updated tile and a new vanity look intentional.
**Lighting**
Bathroom lighting is functional, not decorative. Good vanity lighting eliminates shadows and makes the room usable. Most builder-grade and older bathroom lighting is worth replacing. We swap it out as part of the refresh.
**Mirror and Accessories**
The finish to the finish. A new mirror and coordinated accessories — properly installed, properly level — complete the transformation.
We help you spend where it counts.
A cosmetic refresh can range from focused — new vanity and fixtures — to comprehensive — full tile replacement, new vanity, lighting, and accessories. The right scope depends on your bathroom and your goals.
We don’t upsell work you don’t need. We also don’t let a project stop short of the point where it looks finished. Both waste your money in different ways.
We’ll walk through your bathroom with you and give you an honest read on what makes sense.
What buyers notice
In Burlington’s real estate market, an updated bathroom moves a house. A cosmetic refresh done well gives buyers one less thing to negotiate over. It says the house was cared for. Dated tile and a builder vanity are negotiating points — in the buyer’s favor. An updated bathroom isn’t.
You don’t need a gut renovation to get there. A clean, well-executed refresh is often more than enough.
